How to be happy at any age? Easy to say than done. Well, I was washing my face the other day, and when I looked myself in the mirror, I noticed something weird in my forehead. I grabbed my reading glasses and put them on. After a couple of minutes, when finally I could breathe, a little scream came out of my mouth. Crap!, I think someone needs Botox.

How to be Happy at any Age
In the evening, the first thing hubby said was, “Your birthday is in a few days. How does it feel to be that old? He has an extraordinary sarcastic humor.
I can assure you that I didn’t remember we were in October already. One more year is being added to the pot, and I have a new kind of wrinkle surfing in my forehead without permission, I thought. Lord, save the queen! How to be happy now?
After dinner, we sat on our comfy couch to watch an excellent police TV show. Well, he was watching the TV show, while I was meditating about Octobers, birthdays, undesirable wrinkles, and how to be happy after checking Botox’s prices.
Right before hitting the point of depression, I remembered that Julius Caesar, the famous Roman Emperor, implemented the first calendar, in 46 BC. That’s a lot of time ago, right? The Gregorian Calendar is the one we have now, and it was introduced in 1582 by Pope Gregory XVIII. But this calendar differs from the solar year by 26 seconds. That means by the year 4909; the calendar will have a day ahead of the solar year. I kept thinking!
All of this dilemma between calendars and solar years makes me think about the time before the calendars. How did they count their years because that concept didn’t exist back then? I guess!
Wait for a second! We are talking about solar days. The reality is I’ve seen the light of the sun for more than seventeen thousand days. That is something like 17 k, and It’s fantastic! There is no October or March. Months exist only in our minds, thanks to a Roman Emperor and a Pope.

After I realized this truth, I can see my life as the road in the picture. I’ve cried and laughed, but it has been a beautiful life full of people who loved me and gave me the best. Indeed, my road has been everything but boring. However, my mind was always in the future ahead and a thousand expectations to accomplish.
I will walk the path of life that I have left, traveling, and appreciating every second, every day, and every person and place till the end without getting depressed about a silly number. I decided that from now and on, every single day I breathe, love, and eat; it’s going to be a new day to celebrate my magnificent life.
I already have my first wrinkle, and I intend to gather a gigantic collection. It sounds more comfortable and digestible to say I am over 17 k than whatever year, though!. Does that make me a dancing queen?
If this apparently silly, new concept or vision of the world worked out for me, maybe it will work out for you as well. Love and happy new day of your life. Today and every single day!.
